This week in Paris, the who's-who and the whats-what of the industry, are in the fashion capital to celebrate the most innovate, creative and intricate designs the fashion world has to offer. Oui, oui, it's Fall Haute Couture Fashion Week!!All the fashions feature decadent, elaborate and one-of-a-kind designs from head-to-toe. From out of this world fabrics, sewing, embroidery, buttons, shapes, each detail is amazing. One of my favourites from the week so far comes from Jean-Paul Gaultier and Dita von Teese. Yesterday, Dita came out during the Gaultier show in a black leather, mechanical corset and nothing else, made by Gaultier himself. Yes, her whole booty was out!! Talk about risky!!!! Gaultier definitely pushed the envelope with this one. Mechanical corset!!?? HOW? HOW?
The look went perfectly with Dita's very raw and unique sense of style. Plus anyone who can wear a super tight corset and still walk about with her booty all out sure has A LOT of confidence! Good job!!
Next is Karl Lagerfeld. In his show he had LIONS!!!
Ok not actual real lions, but he had a 40 foot high, 8 ton golden lion in the middle of the runway, which models walked around or between and male models escorting the ladies with lion masks on. Talk about fierce. ROAR!!
