Yohji Yamamoto is no stranger to being an innovator, he doesn't let the direction of the fashion industry stifle his creativity or dictate who he should be as a designer. This is completely evident with the emergence of his shoe for his Adidas collaborative label, Y-3.
For me, these sleek sneakers work because although they have a sleek frame at the same time the gunmetal studs add that edge to a regularly fashionable piece of footwear. We're used to seeing studs paired with slouchy vintage inspired shoes so this adds a delicious twist to what's already been done! The good thing about this brand is that they have girl sizes *yay* so we wont be missing out ladies!!
