High Fashion Playboy

Fashion House, Marchesa, has redesigned the iconic Playboy bunny costume and has given it a high fashion twist. The new costume was created to celebrate the grand opening of the new Playboy Club opening in London on June 4th. This is a sketch of what the final design is.

Marchesa designing duo, Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman, created the design with their one-of-a-kind touches. On the new collaboration between Playboy and Marchesa they said, "Marchesa is thrilled to be a part of the Playboy London Club launch, and for the opportunity to design a one off Playboy Bunny costume - one of fashion and pop culture's most iconic emblems, in celebration of the return of this club," says Georgina Chapman, co-founder and designer of the luxury label. "We've taken our inspiration from the original costume but added Marchesa's signature details, such as hand draping and embroidery, while staying true to the Playboy Bunny's classic corset silhouette. The result is a modern, yet feminine interpretation of this legendary look."

The complete look will be released on May 26th for the first time and also will be auctioned to help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.

The costume looks amazing. I just can't wait to see which fabrics and colours they use to make the design look complete. I also want my hand on one of them. No, no, no, not for what you think Liipstik ladies and Liipstik Freshmen get your minds out of the gutter. I want my own playboy design for Halloween!
