Vogue Italia Loves Black Beauties

Here is a look at Vogue Italia's May 2011 issue, which has a special spread dear to my heart. For the new issue the magazine has a spread called "Tribute to Black Beauties" and features some of the fashion world's freshest black faces such as Jeneil Williams, Cici Ali, Ubah Hassan, Gayle McDonald, Kelly Moreira, Jae Childs , R’el Dade, Jasmine Tookas, Lily Taylor and Ariel M.

It was shot by Ellen von Unwerth and styled by by Giulio Martinelli. The ladies are dressed in some of the world's biggest fashions from head to toe. From Prada to Missoni to Ports 1961, the girls were in all the latest trends for the spring and summer and had look summer time fine!! They looked fab and totally gorg.

I love when the fashion industry embraces all the different shades of beauty. I'm a huge fan of ethnic models on the catwalk and gracing the covers and pages of mags. This isn't the first time Vogue Italia has embraced black models in the industry and it's a great step forward. Now I'm just waiting to see more Asian, Indian and more ethnic faces hitting the world of high fashion. Check out some pics from the spread.
