LeBron on the Clock

Besides LeBron and the Miami Heat getting ready for NBA playoff action, King James is joining a new team. Mr. South Beach is teaming up with Audemars Piguet and is the global brand ambassador for the watch company.

Audemars Piguet is the world's oldest watch manufacturer and they have selected the 26-year-old all-star to represent the brand. The two have also teamed up to create a limited-edition watch. The proceeds made from the watch sales will be donated to charity, which will help the LeBron James Family Foundation. This is what LeBron had to say about the new collaboration, “Audemars Piguet and I strive for excellence in all our endeavors. I am honored to be the next global brand ambassador and join the ranks of industry greats who have previously represented the brand. I am also excited to collaborate with AP on an exclusive timepiece that will be the ultimate symbol of our partnership.”

Audemars Piguet is just as excited about working with the NBA star saying, “We have a history of partnering with those at the top of their game and right now, LeBron is like a comet. Not only does he burn up the court, but he maintains the right balance of family, philanthropy and fame.”

CEO Philippe Merk adds, "LeBron James is a gifted athlete and an exceptional humanitarian. His mission truly mirrors ours and we are delighted to welcome him to the Audemars Piguet family.”

I love when celebs have huge fashion collabos and still manage to give back to people. I just hope these watches are affordable so everyone can help out the cause. All the Liipstik Freshmen make sure to put this on you to buy list!

LeBron's "Rise" To the Top

Nike just released a LeBron James commercial called "Rise." The ad is mainly based on the drama James faced during the off season with his controversial decision to trade in his Cavs jersey to join Wade and Bosh in Miami. The video makes us think about what Lebron should do; Should he do what he wants and we love him for it or should he listen to everyone and be what they want him to be.

I love the video becasue even though it is about something pretty serious in his young career, it still is very much LeBron. HILARIOUS! I was laughing so hard. Lebron loves to play dress up and make fun of himself.

It doesn't have anything to do with fashion directly, but the meaning behind the video can be applied to fashion and a person's personal sense of style. Should we follow trends by the "t" and follow all fashion rules even though it may not flatter us or dress and style ourselves in what we love.

Make you think huh?

Watch and think.
