For the July issue of Elle Mexico they enlisted fab model Sara vonSchrenk for the "summer in Miami" inspired editorial. Styling was on point drawing inspirations from the mother land with cool kente pieces, fun turbans, and funky accessories. They showed you how you can pair the seasons trends with a plain bathing suit so you can be fashion forward and current at the beach! Love it!
Seems like Ms. Kelly is the newest it-girl and I definitely believe its about time. Her banger "Motivation" is doing very well at #1 and everywhere you turn Kelly has the tongues wagging with her fabulosity. When I first saw this spread I was definitely awestruck these are really stunning images, Kelly is giving us face and working it out like the top models and I 'm very impressed!! I'm also a big fan of black and white images and that makes me love these images even more. There's so much strength in the images I absolutely adore them. Check 'em below.
Camel, charcoal and nude hues rock this photo shoot starring Kerri Lee Miller showing off what's hot for spring in All magazines January 2011 issue. Masculine tailoring mixed with feminine silhouettes come to life in this editorial and Kerri looks A-Mazing! The way the lights highlight her amazing bone structure is just breath taking. This shoot really makes me want to cut all my hair off, random thought but true nonetheless. Loves!
This bish is putting in WORK *snaps in S formation*!! Georgia Frost is modelling "h to t" for Karen magazine and we are awestruck! I Love, love, loveeeee this editorial, the makeup, hair, and styling are on point. My fave shot is the first one with the patent leather thigh high platform boots *gasps for air* totally took my breath away. Looking that fly there is no article of clothing in the world that could do those shoes justice, going nude was the best option!
Totally a fan of the looks, I feel like she was channelling Courtney Love with a sprinkle of Gaga in this spread! Stunning!
I love Leighton Meeseter, aside from her being one of my fave characters on Gossip Girl she has impeccable style and takes gorgeous pictures. When I saw these beauty shots of her I was really blown away she looked so simple yet sooo stunning. I love editorial shots where they go crazy with the styling and makeup but once in a while to have a plain beauty shot is really refreshing. Below is a video of Leighton shooting the beauty story for Marie Claire UK's November issue and my fave scene is when she was whipping her hair. Those shots to me were breath-taking and I'm really disappointed that they didn't include any of those shots in her spread.
*Side note* I don't know what it was but as I watched the behind the scenes video of her posing I definitely felt like she and The City's Olivia Palermo shared an uncanny resemblance! Am I the only one who feels this way? Watch the video and let us know what you think!
This rockabilly inspired editorial has some serious styling going on and I love it. They transformed 3 female models into androgynous masculine characters instead of getting 3 male models to play the part. I like that they went this route because it shows a different side to the models and also that the girls can play boys just as good as the boys themselves!
Loves the hair and makeup. The poses are very carefree which I love because being a female model they always want you to contort your body into different shapes, so when you play a dude its so much better because you are so much more relaxed. The models Renata Sozzi, Juliana, Nicole Lichtenberg, and Karlina rocked this shoot out getting into character so well and delivering on a refreshing editorial. Check 'em below! xoxo,
Surprisingly, I love this cover shot of Lady Gaga for Vogue Homme Japan F/W 2010, we all know Gaga tends to over do it in the "I'm trying to be different" department but in this case I think it worked. I don't know what the relevance of her wearing meat is but I really like that they tried to make an outfit out of it. For this Vogue issue Gaga also has another cover where she's posing as a man, check it below!
Freja Beha Erichsen one of the edgiest models in the game has done it again with this dark yet dynamic editorial featuring her panther co-star. Every editorial she always brings it, her strong features and creative poses puts her ahead of the modeling game.
As Freja roams the city with her panther she shows how absolutely fearless she is. Decked out in glamorous dresses and luxe fabrics, she definitely outshines her co-star and competition! Check out more images from the editorial below.
Heidi Mount is channeling a superhero in this editorial for Numero magazines September issue Heidi is probably battling societal fashion faux pas' because she wants to make sure everyone always looks their best. She's rocking leather, sheer materials, edgy hardware and accents as well as fab prints to show us ladies how super models really get down!
Whenever I daydream and I think of myself as a superhero (which is quite often) I always imagine myself looking exactly like Heidi but with 20 inch platinum blond hair and 4inch spiky stilettos heels lol. Since no one chose me to portray a sexy superhero I'm going to live vicariously through this spread, enjoy the pics after the cut!
