MMVA 2011 -- Liipstik Fashion Loves

Last night was another star-studded MuchMusic Video Awards, right at the iconic 299 Queen Street West building. Of course it was filled with killer performances and even better fashion. I must say my fave performance of the night was by Bruno Mars. I love his voice and he is 0o0o0 so0o0o0o cute. But enough of that, let's get to all of the juicy news of the night; the fashion!

The MMVA red carpet was filled with some of the biggest celebs on the small and big screen and of course music royalty. Today we will be saluting our fave celebs on the carpet, who stayed true to their signature sense of style!

A Teenage Dream -- Selena Gomez and her boo, Justin Bieber

This teenage couple looked super cute last night. They totally dressed the party of an 18-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy! Check out their looks below.

Selna Gomez, co-host of the 2011 MMVAs, on the red carpet sported a Burberry Porsom beige dress paired with purple pumps and topped off with tight curls! She looks like a cute little prom queen, especially with those curls!

Justin sported a white blazer, Kelly Kapowski t-shirt and denim. He's totally girl crazy, just like any other teenage boy. But really Justin, were u even old enough to remember "Saved By The Bell"? Either way it's SUPER CUTE AND FUN!

Snoop Dogg -- The True Fashion OG

Bling, stunna shades and braids!!!!!!!!!!

Lady Gaga -- Fashions Wild Child

Leather. Studs. Turquoise hair!

Fefe Dobson in Heather Lawton -- fashionable rebel

She's just cute!

And of course in true Gaga fashion she did not disappoint in a studded leather-and-mesh body suit topped with a turquoise wig and a leather studded thong made by Mugler, which was all custom-made! Lady Gaga's New Gig

Early this morning, pop star Lady Gaga, announced to Twitterland that she landed a new job, as a monthly columnist for V Magazine. Lady Gaga's first column will debut in next month's issue, which will be hitting newsstands May 12th. But what will she write about? The "Born This Way" singer will be discussing all things fashion, of course DUH!!!

In addition to Gaga joining the V Magazine family, the publication is holding a special contest on Vmagazine.com, for all creators and artists to submit drawings of Gaga dressed in some of her craziest outfits! The contest is called "Drawn This way." The one lucky picture selected, will run alongside with Gaga's column. So all you artists get to work!!! The contest ends at midnight on Sunday, April 3. And the winner will be announced on the 4th.

Goodluck and congrats Gaga.

Lady Gaga's Using Blood and Semen in New Fragrance

Lady Gaga has done it again, and I can't say I'm surprised either. She has decided to create a perfume with blood and semen samples in it *blank stare*. I don't know about you but I am not down for having anyones blood on my skin and smelling like after sex. Gaga describes her scent as smelling like an "expensive hooker", knowing Gaga and her little "monsters" this scent will do amazing in the sales department, even though I probably won't wear it I'm sort of curious to see how it will smell. Anyways to each its own, its not for me but others may like it, do you guys think this is a great creative idea or is Gaga trying to hard, let us know!! Below is Gaga explaining the scent on an Australian radio show.

Gaga x Terry Richardson for Purple Magazine

Terry Richardson, his lense and Lady Gaga teamed up to do a few shots for Purple magazine of Gaga embodying her signature style, sky-high platforms, defiled Birkin bag and semi-nudity. Every time lady Gaga hurts a Birkin bag I cry on the inside, I can't lie though I'm actually feeling the Supreme add on, maybe the two brands should do a future collaboration...just saying. These images don't really do much for me I feel like I've seen this look so many times from Gaga, the allure has definitely left the building. Check the images below!

Who is the Best Dressed of the Year?

As all you fashion lovers know, late last week Vogue let the whole world know who the top 10 best dressed celebs of 2010 were.

There were so many stylish celebs this year, it must have been such a hard decision to narrow the field down to the top 10. Of course, Anna Wintour's favourite "Gossip Girl" Blake Lively made the cut and the blonde bombshell also graces the cover of Vogue‘s first-ever Best Dressed supplement, in a Reed Krakoff gown.

I wonder what the criteria was to make it to the top of the fashion crop.
I was a little surprised that some celebs didn't make the cut like "The City" star Olivia Palermo. I'm sorry, but I am a major fan of her beautiful and trendy sense of fashion and style. Ummmmm I think they forgot about Rihanna!! Let us know if you think they missed anyone at liipstik@gmail.com.

Take a look at the list.

Airport Swag -- Gaga Dipped in Chanel at JFK

As per usual Lady Gaga likes to make sure her name stays relevant in the media whether its for baring it all for a magazine or wearing ridiculous get-ups to the airport. This is a perfect example of Gaga showing too much for an outing that is so basic.

The thing is we love her for it because she doesn't care and pushes the envelope. We've now become desensitized to her crazy get-ups so when does enough become enough and is there still a time and place for everything? Side note, Gaga's studded black Birkin bag is T.D.F (To die for) and those shoes are HAUTE, however the rest of the fit is questionable even if it is Chanel, more pics below!

Photo of The Day -- Vogue Homme Japan's Lady Gaga Cover!!

Surprisingly, I love this cover shot of Lady Gaga for Vogue Homme Japan F/W 2010, we all know Gaga tends to over do it in the "I'm trying to be different" department but in this case I think it worked. I don't know what the relevance of her wearing meat is but I really like that they tried to make an outfit out of it. For this Vogue issue Gaga also has another cover where she's posing as a man, check it below!

V Magazine goes Gaga

The latest issue of V Magazine is one for the fashion Gods. It features two of the most fashion forward people in the industry, Miss. Lady Gaga and Mr. Marc Jacobs.

The September issue cover was shot by world fashion photographer, Mario Testino. The issue is the publications special New York issue. It has to deal with everything and anything dealing with fashion and the arts in the Big Apple.

At first I did not even recognize Lady Gaga on the cover. Her body looks good and she's dressed in one of Marc's designs. My favourite part of the cover is the "V" made out of chewed gum. A perfect New York staple. It's cute.

I'm excited to see the rest of the issue. If you want to check it out, it's on newsstands now!

Lady Gaga covers Rolling Stone

Lady Gaga is her normal Gaga self for the summer double issue of Rolling Stone. She is of course decked out in a crazy outfit. This time she's giving the military a run for their money. Miss. Gaga is sporting a machine gun bra and a matching black thong underwear. Damn girl you're hard!!!

In the issue of the magazine she softens up in an interview revealing who Lady Gaga really is to her, “When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl. Then I say, ‘B*tch, you’re Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today.’”

As crazy and famous as Lady Gaga is, I'm shocked she admitted she's insecure since she seems so confident when she sports her, outlandish, out-of-this-world, cooky and unique outfits. I can't wait to read the issue and find out some more interesting facts about Lady Gaga. Should be fun!!

Video Exclusive -- Lady Gaga "Alejandro"

Here is the video EVERY fashion lover has been waiting for, Lady Gaga's Steven Klein-directed music video for "Alejandro." Of course like most Lady Gaga videos it's a eight-minute long dark tale filled with out of this world fashions, just like Miss Gaga.
Enough of me blabbing, watch it for yourself.
