Estée Lauder's New Face of Beauty

Yesterday, Estée Lauder announced model Joan Smalls is the new face and spokesmodel for their skincare and cosmentic lines. The global advertisments will begin to appear in May 2011.

Smalls was born in Puerto Rico and is the first Puerto Rican spokesmodel for the brand. Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Estée Lauder's Global Brand President, is very excited to have the new model join the Estée Lauder family. She tells the Vancouver Sun, "We are thrilled to introduce Joan to women around the world. She truly reflects Estée Lauder’s modern vision of global beauty.”

You may recognize Smalls beautiful face. Since 2007, the IMG model has been taking the modelling world by storm. Smalls has shot for all the major fashion publications in the globe. She has rocked the runways in New York, Paris and many more worldwide. She has also starred in global campaigns for fashion houses like Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Gucci and The Gap. Not to mention the 22-year-old is also in the recent Alexander McQueen tribute video "To Lee" by Nick Knight.

Right now Joan is holding the 18th spot for the top 50 models in the world.

Landing a beauty campaign is one of the greatest accomplishments a model can land during their career and with this under her belt, Joan is one step closer to supermodel status. I love the fact that cosmetic companies can embrace the beauty of all cultures and ethnicities. The colour of beauty goes way beyond blonde hair and blue eyes. With Joan's new campaigns coming soon and being the first Puerto Rican model is a huge step to make diversity accepted in the modelling world. I love this girl! Congrats!

We see them in magazines, runways and in ad campaigns but have you ever wonder how top models really live? Here's a quick look into Canadian beauty Coco Rocha's intimate living space which she shares with her new husband James.

Not only is she stunning but she has good taste in home furnishings! I can tell she has expensive taste because her place screams opulence, I feel like I'm looking at a modern version of a Victorian era home. More pics of her pad below!

Model Watch/ New Faces -- Rael Costa

Rael Costa is a model who has been killing the modeling game in Brazil. He is represented by Ford Model Management and stands at 6"2, too bad hes a youngin' this hottie is only 18! He has the most exquisite eyes that you can't help but look at and the way they contrast with his skin is amazing, he's what we Liipstik ladies would call Tall, dark and handsome.

Rael was discovered while attending a super model contest in his hometown and it was from there that his career took off. He stands at 6"2 and has such striking features and beautiful skin fit for any editorial or runway! I can't wait to see more work from him, I'm sure his career will go far. Ukranian bombshell Anna rudenko is one to watch, signed with Premier Model Management, Women Paris, Women Milan and Nika Models she is taking the modelling game by storm. Captivated by her cat-like eyes amazing skin and bone structure she's been turning heads and people are taking notice. Her features are so stong it was no wonder she was discovered on her way to university.

She will definately do big things in the industry, especially with such a strong look. Her eyes tell a story and i feel like shes already mastered the art of "smizing". She has a way of communicating sexuality without doing much, she definately has the "It" factor, check more pics of this beauty below!!

Model Watch/ New Faces: Eryck Laframboise!

I love when I get to see Canadian talent break into the modelling scene and take the industry by storm, I'm sure Montreal born Eryck Laframboise will be no exception. This cutie who stands at 6"2, with the striking bone structure is a Thai/Canadian mix, and has a smile you can't help but love and eyes so deep you can get lost in them. He's currently represented by Red models in NY, Elmer Olsen Model Management, and Dulcedo Model Management (the initial agency that discovered him).

Since he's fairly new to the New York City fashion scene, Eryck hasn't really been seen anywhere but he did mention he recently did an editorial for Vogue Hommes Japan, so I'll definitely be looking out for that editorial and will keep everyone posted on this handsome Canadian!! Model Watch/New Faces -- Anais Mali!

So we did a post earlier in the month and we showcased the new Levi's ads that has been shown in almost all the fashion magazines and there was this one image that peaked my interest. I thought the model was sooooo stunning and decided to do some research.

My new girl crush of the week is Miss Anais Mali hailing from Touland France. She is the newest edition to modelling agency Wilhelmina in New York and she's already taking the modelling game by storm. She's been seen walking in shows for Vivienne Westwood, Betsey Johnson, L.A.MB, and Malandrino and she has also modelled for Levi's, J.Crew, and Band of Outsiders.

The exquisite beauty is African and Polish has a youthful refreshing aura about her that is very captivating and intriguing, she def reminds me of a young Noemie Lenoire. She also hasn't waited until she has reached super model status to give back to her community. She has a foundation that you can check out at www.yntiafrica.com (its in French) and the objective of the foundation is to raise money for impoverished kids in Africa!
