Jay-Z the Designer

I think Jay-Z is hanging out with Kanye West a little too much because it seems he has caught the fashion designer bug!

Yes, yes he was a co-founder of Rocawear, one of the best urban clothing lines in the fashion biz, but now Hov will be gearing up for a new fashion adventure. Sean Carter creating new jerseys for the new NBA franchise Brooklyn Nets, formerly known as the New Jersey Nets.

Alongside with Adidas, Mr. Carter will create a logo and look for the team that will debut in February. I'm pretty sure Jay-Z's fashionable boo, Beyonce and BFF Kanye will be there to lend a hand! After all, they both have their own lines! The Brooklyn Nets hit the hardwood for the first time September 2012.

Hip-Hop + Fashion = H.A.M

Music and fashion lovers, get ready for another fashion and hip-hop fuse.

All hip-hop and music fans can't wait until two of the industry's biggest names team up to create a one-of-a-kind album with a sound to match. Jay-Z and Kanye West are gearing up to release their album Watch the Throne, which still does not have a release date. In true hip-hop style and Kanye West swag, the album cover for the CD was designed by Givenchy designer, Riccardo Tisci, who also designed the album art for the single "H.A.M."

I knew Kanye, aka the Louis Vuitton Don, would enlist the help of fashion elite to help create his album cover, come on he wouldn't have it any other way! I love the cover, to me it looks like something hip-hop royalty would have for it's flag or coat of arms. This definitely represents Hova and Kanye, who are at the top of the rap game. The art includes stars, crowns, leaves and is in GOLD. It just scream hip-hop.

The album cover and the single cover for "H.A.M" look very similar. But I must say enjoy the album cover better. LOVE IT!

Its Bey Season-- "Girls (Who Run the World)"!

I'm a Beyonce fan but the last few months she has been out of the limelight and her fits have been sub-par, this is the best I've seen her in months! I definitely LOVE the floral dress plus her hair and skin are on point!! I won't lie I'm not really a fan of all the different patterns she's trying to throw together with the snakeskin bag and shoes. Jay on the other hand keeps it calm and cool in his denim jacket and army green cargo's, cute! Bey and her hubby Jay were spotted at the Champs- Elysees in Paris.

I'm really feeling the musical direction Jay is taking, being Beyonce's new manager. They decided to spice up Bey's sound with some island flavour. They sampled Major Lazer on the beat and the song is F-I-R-E! Definitely a summer banger, with the infectious beat and girl power lyrics how can it not be? Take a listen below!

Jay-Z and Rocawear Under Fire

Ex-Oasis band member, Liam Gallagher has some serious beef with Jay-Z. In an interview with Spin Magazine, Gallagher was talking about the difference between his clothing line, Pretty Green, and Jay-Z's, Rocawear, and said, "You’re going to be fucking arrested wearing his gear and you’re going to pull a really nice-looking bird wearing mine."

Really, now. Really?? Yes, he really said that. Gallagher has a lot of nerve, considering back in 2007 Rocawear was sold for over $200-million and his clothing company hasn't even made a dime close to that since its beginnings. His line, Pretty Green, is inspired by the 1960s and features blazers, parkas, shirts and desert boots.

First his brother, Noel Gallagher front man for Oasis, had beef with Jay-Z for headlining the Glastonbury Music Festival. Noel didn't think a the Brooklyn hip-hop star should be the main act of the festival, since the festival was mainly about rock and roll. Jay-Z responded to Noel's bashing in his track Jockin' Jay-Z saying, "That bloke from Oasis said I couldn't play guitar/ Someone shoulda told him I'm a muthaf**ker rock star/ Today is gonna be the day that I'm gonna throw it back to you/ I'm living life as a rocker . . . "

Now Liam isn't that much of a fan of Mr. Sean Carter either. I wonder what Hova's response to Liam's comments will be. At the end of the day, I just sense a bit of jealousy. Not to mention the statement is offensive, prejudice and totally wrong.

Is All Black Everything No More?

Mr. All Black Everything decided to ditch his signature look for a cooler lighter casual feel while kicking it on the beach with his friends Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. He chose to rock a white tee, some tan cargo's, and a fly gold watch. The piece that has peaked my interest in this whole ensemble are his sneakers. They're the Louis Vuitton and Kanye West collabo luxury sneaker called the "Dons".

I loved the collection Kanye launched in 2009 but I didn't really see anyone rocking the kicks but that's probably because of the hefty pricetag, the shoes go for anywhere from $840-$1140. These joints in particular go for $870, nice to see the Jigga Man supporting 'Ye. More pics of Jay-Z stylin on em, below!
