Its Bey Season-- "Girls (Who Run the World)"!

I'm a Beyonce fan but the last few months she has been out of the limelight and her fits have been sub-par, this is the best I've seen her in months! I definitely LOVE the floral dress plus her hair and skin are on point!! I won't lie I'm not really a fan of all the different patterns she's trying to throw together with the snakeskin bag and shoes. Jay on the other hand keeps it calm and cool in his denim jacket and army green cargo's, cute! Bey and her hubby Jay were spotted at the Champs- Elysees in Paris.

I'm really feeling the musical direction Jay is taking, being Beyonce's new manager. They decided to spice up Bey's sound with some island flavour. They sampled Major Lazer on the beat and the song is F-I-R-E! Definitely a summer banger, with the infectious beat and girl power lyrics how can it not be? Take a listen below!

Tom Ford S/S 11 Eyewear x S/S 2011 Runway Show

This is Liipstik's first post of the New Year and of course we had to bring the fire with something fabulous from designer Tom Ford. I can't think of a better post than the footage from the VIP fashion show Ford had for his women's collection and his eye wear campaign for s/s 11 featuring Abbey Lee Kershaw.

Miss Abbey has switched it up on us and I'm loving this blonde on her. The campaign features some pieces from Fords womenswear collection and I see my favourite necklace from his collection has made an appearance once again. I commented on the gigantic crystal necklace a while back when they featured Ford's collection in Vogue and I will reiterate once again that I adoreeeee this necklace! The campaign is solid drawing inspiration from the 70's in a chic and sophisticated way.

The fashion show is in itself amazing, its very intimate and the who's who of fashion are in attendance. The models include Natalia Vodianova, Liya Kebede and Beyonce to name a few, Ford used women from all shapes, sizes, and walks of life to represent on his runway and it was dope. The show was very interactive and fun, I can only imagine how amazing the experience was as an attendee!

These are actually images from the fashion show which were probably taken by Terry Richardson seeing as though he was the only photographer at the show. CARIBBANNNNAAA Wrap Up!!

This weekend was Caribana in Toronto for all you out of towners the event is a great experience for anyone who wants to try something new while getting a taste of the Caribbean culture. On Saturday the parade took place showcasing all of the vibrant and intricate costumes that have the perfect dose of drama to make each section stand out from each other. Fab chick and Liipstik co-founder Danielle was even in the parade along with some fab Liipstik ladies "wukking up" lol in celebration of Caribana.

There were a plethora of events that popped off this weekend and for anyone who was interested the nightlife was bananas. Just know that at least one time during the weekend the popular soca tune "Palance" by JW and Blaze was bumping through someones speakers. It became a hit sensation earlier in the year and ever since then the infectious melody and lyrics have caught on like wildfire so much, that even Ms. Beyonce was seen palancing at a show in Trinidad earlier in the year. I'm definately dubbing "Palance" the caribana anthem of 2k10. Overall the weekend was amazing and there were so many swexy men it made my head spin lol, gotta love some chocolate, swag and some sexy tatts, YUM! New Music: Beyonce- Why dont you love me?

Heres a new vid for ya viewing pleasure, miss Bey Bey all day has done it again hit us with another banger written by her lil sister Solange Knowles!! I have loved this song for months so I was super excited when I heard there was a video. "BB Homemaker" is killin em in this one making regular household tasks look so sexy. I love the vintage 1980's grainy feel to the video, the styling was on point and it wasn't over done or too fussy like many of Beyonces videos.

Bey could walk around on rocks the whole vid and I would be like "that was hot", although I'm a lil biased she still gets Liipstiks Seal of Approval, We see you Bey Bey, enjoy the vid under the cut!!
