Happy Birthday Coco

Today is a very iconic birthday!

Today Coco Chanel would have been celebrating her 128th birthday. For the huge milestone Chanel is releasing an updated version of the original: No 19 Poudré. It was a fragrance created by Coco in 1970 as a gift to herself for her birthday (August 19th). The original scent was made of green blend of iris, neroli, vetiver, and cedarwood.

The modern version of the scent was created by perfumer Jacques Polge and features neroli top notes, iris heart, and vetiver base notes, adding mandarin orange, jasmine absolute, white musk, and tonka bean. Smells beautiful!!!

The scent went of sale this morning at www.saks.com. What a way to celebrate a birthday!

Leighton Meester is "LoveStruck"

Ummm can we start by saying how STUNNING this Vera Wang dress is on Leighton, like my gosh she looks beautiful and the wine coloured hue looks amaze-balls against her skin! I want my wedding dress to look like this one, but in white of course *deep sigh*. Yea, I know I snapped but I can't help it Vera Wang dresses are like crack for bride-wannabe's and brides-to-be. This Leighton and Vera Wang collabo is sheer genius, Leighton has a young sophistication about her and everything Vera is genius, at least in my book so the two together makes a perfect partnership. This commercial is for Vera Wang's newest fragrance "Lovestruck" and its definitely cute, I don't blame her boyfriend for nearly killing himself to get close to her, how can you say no to that dress!?

Lady Gaga's Using Blood and Semen in New Fragrance

Lady Gaga has done it again, and I can't say I'm surprised either. She has decided to create a perfume with blood and semen samples in it *blank stare*. I don't know about you but I am not down for having anyones blood on my skin and smelling like after sex. Gaga describes her scent as smelling like an "expensive hooker", knowing Gaga and her little "monsters" this scent will do amazing in the sales department, even though I probably won't wear it I'm sort of curious to see how it will smell. Anyways to each its own, its not for me but others may like it, do you guys think this is a great creative idea or is Gaga trying to hard, let us know!! Below is Gaga explaining the scent on an Australian radio show.

Eau de Odom

I've heard of couples who are so connected at the hip that they need to spend every waking minute together and talk on the phone like 30 times a day. It's a little obsessive. I have also heard of girls who like to sleep in their boyfriend's t-shirt because they love the smell of their boo. But I have NEVER heard of couples who are so in love they want to smell like each other. Well, leave it up to the Kardashian clan to make that possible.

Khole and Lamar Odom are one of the first celebrity couples to launch a fragrance together. The happily married couple just released their unisex scent "Unbreakable" just before Valentine's Day.

The scent has hints of sparkling clementine, green apple, Italian bergamot and Asian saffron. It's available at Perfumania's nationwide, just in time to give it to your significant other.

Check out the promo video of the newlyweds half naked, looking 0o0o0 so cute. They look so in love and enjoy each others company. I honestly LOVE Khole and Lamar and I am a fan of anything the pair do. We'll see how successful this fragrance is.

New Scent Alert -- Reb'l Fleur by Rihanna

Do you remember a few months back when Rihanna debuted a new neck tat with the words "Rebelle Fleur" on it? Well it seems like that tattoo inspired the name for her first fragrance. Seeing as though celebrity scents are all the rage, it only seems right that with a new album coming out, Rihanna would join the LONG list of celebs who want to make you smell good.

Her new fragrance Reb'l Fleur, is being released in November and the scent has a note of tuberose, violet, hibiscus, with a dash of coconut water, sounds tropical! I love scents that have a note of coconut and vanilla so I'm looking forward to testing this one out. As a consumer I'm wondering if the scent will even smell good or if this is just another attempt to garner more buzz and record sales for her new album "LOUD" coming out in November. I guess only time will tell, we'll keep you updated!
