Here's Liipstik lovely lady, Blake Lively, on the cover of the April issue of Elle Singapore. I am loving this cover. Not only becasue I just love Lively, but becasue even though it just a black and white image, it still pops! Plus the colour accents, like the hot pink font and the seafoam green Elle tag really standout aswell.

I'm loving the pants!!!

Is Blake Lively the New Carrie Bradshaw?

It takes a fashionista to play a fashionista.

And that may be the case with Blake Lively and her soon to be role as Carrie Bradshaw, the character Sarah Jessica Parker made famous with HBO's hit "Sex and the City" over 13 years ago. That's right, Lively may be set to play Carrie if Candice Bushnell's book " The Carrie Diaries" becomes a movie.

"The Carrie Diaries" is about Carrie's life as a teen before the Manolo's, Prada and hitting it big in the Big Apple as a writer. And if it is made into a film it will be a prequel to the "Sex and the City" series. The novel was one of the best-selling books of 2010. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but Lively's name has been mentioned to play a young Bradshaw.

The production is only in the "talking" phase right now, so things can change any minute. Right now the film will be produced by Michael Patrick King, who produced the first two "Sex and the City" movies. Some other rumored details about the film; Carrie will have new stylish friends (Sorry Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte) and will follow her journey from Connecticut to New York City.

Can't wait to see how this one turns out. I can see why Blake's name has been metioned to play Bradshaw. She's very stylish and fashionable young lady, so maybe it can work. What do you think? Can Blake Lively really be the next Carrie Bradshaw?

Liipstik's Top Fashion Makers of 2010 -- Blake Lively

Blake Lively....

What more is there to say about this girl. She is loved and adored by everyone in the fashion world from magazines, to designers to even fashion alum like Anna Wintour, Karl Lagerfeld, and Christian Louboutin, she has stole all their hearts. But can you really blame them? She is a blonde bombshell with legs for days, the perfect model with a beautiful face and a down-to-earth personality. Not to mention, this girl can dress.

The "Gossip Girl" starlet has never had a bad fashion day on and off the screen. Blake claims to not use a stylist, like most of Hollywood, but even without one she makes style and fashion look so effortless. What's her secret? She looks like she doesn't try at all and with all that confidence, she always looks her best. That's why she's Liipstik's Sidewalk Catwalk Vixen for 2010.

Everything in her closet, I would take off her back and wear it the next day. Blake is one girl who I think can wear a plastic bag for a dress and make it look fab (Unlike some people.... hmmmmm Ke$ha).

Loving Lively

These days, I'm wondering which major fashion exec isn't falling in love with Blake Lively. First it was Vogue's Anna Wintour, who couldn't get enough of the blonde bombshell and had Lively in numerous issues of the mag.

Next was Mr. Christian Louboutin, who gave the Gossip Girl star a private tour of his atelier and then named a shoe after her. And now the daddy of Chanel himself, Karl Lagerfeld. Reports are saying that Lively is the new face of Chanel.

It is reported that in the new year, Lively will star in a new ad campaign for the fashion house's handbag collection, which she has already shot for in Paris. It doesn't come as a surprise since the very fashionable 23-year-old has sat front row at Chanel's fall/winter show and has been seen with Karl having lunch!

Gosh imagine her closet!! Just give me five minutes in there, five! That is all I want for Christmas!

Who is the Best Dressed of the Year?

As all you fashion lovers know, late last week Vogue let the whole world know who the top 10 best dressed celebs of 2010 were.

There were so many stylish celebs this year, it must have been such a hard decision to narrow the field down to the top 10. Of course, Anna Wintour's favourite "Gossip Girl" Blake Lively made the cut and the blonde bombshell also graces the cover of Vogue‘s first-ever Best Dressed supplement, in a Reed Krakoff gown.

I wonder what the criteria was to make it to the top of the fashion crop.
I was a little surprised that some celebs didn't make the cut like "The City" star Olivia Palermo. I'm sorry, but I am a major fan of her beautiful and trendy sense of fashion and style. Ummmmm I think they forgot about Rihanna!! Let us know if you think they missed anyone at liipstik@gmail.com.

The Blake

Young Hollywood starlet, Blake Lively, has a new addition to her closet. Her own custom-made shoe made by none other that Christian Louboutin, himself.

Earlier in the week Blake visited "Live with Regis and Kelly" in NYC and gushed about the experience. While in Paris filming the new season of the series the "Gossip Girl" star visited the Christian Louboutin atelier, where she fell in love with a pair of strappy heels. When Lively expressed her for the shoe saying, “I wanted to sleep with it under my pillow every night," Mr. Louboutin named the shoes "The Blake."

The 23-year-old blonde bombshell joins models Grace Kelly and Jane Birkin, who have had the honor of high-end fashion houses naming products after them. The two have have Hermes bags named in their honor.

Is there anyone who won't fall in love with Blake? First it was Anna Wintour, then Karl Lagerfeld and now the world's best shoe designer. Oh the luck. Maybe in a few years a shoe will be named in our honor, "The Liipstik." What do you think?? A girl can dream can't she. Check out Mr. Louboutin showing off the shoe below.

Chanel Soho Re-opening with Karl Lagerfeld

Video fab -- Fashions Night Out 2010!

So finally I got my hands on some Fashion Night out footage for those of you who has missed it. Check the video for Fashion Night out hosted by Andre Leon Talley and Hanneli Mustaparta, the commentary was tres annoying but I enjoyed the other aspects of the webcast. By the way can we talk about Ms. Gisele, she annihilated that runway, Naomi we see you, WORK! Her walk is too amazing for words, get it girl!!!

*btw Loves Pharrell`s performance, would have loved to see Nelly Furtado since she is singing the chorus on the track, nonetheless Skateboard P is such a cutie working that military inspired jacket

Lively Covers Marie Claire Across the Pond

Blake Lively looks simple stunning in a Chanel jumper on the cover of the October issue for Marie Claire UK. She looks like such a simple beauty; natural makeup, fun flowy hair, young and youthful. Looks like everyone wants her to be their cover girl.

Inside the issue, The "Gossip Girl" starlet is featured in an editorial shot by Guy Aroch decked out in Victoria Beckham, Giorgio Armani and Antonio Berardi. The pictures looks amazing. And there is nothing more to say, besides the fact that she looks beautiful.

In the issue Lively also has an interview where she talks about her career, style and fame. Lively says, “I’ve always loved fashion. That’s why I don’t use a stylist. Number one, it’s such an expression of self.” WOW!! She has an exceptional personal sense of style, and from the looks of it her style really is a reflection of herself. It's young, hip, playful and sexy. I want to go into her closet for sure.

Blake Lively Covers Interview Magazine

Loving this editorial for Interview magazine, the pics look like stills from a security camera. Blake is channeling a fashionable criminal but I can honestly say the only thing she`s guilty of is being fab!

Blake looks absolutely stunning and seductive in this story, and is definitely tapping into her inner femme fatale. When I first saw the cover shot (image below) I didnt even recognize Blake, nonetheless she is working those handcuffs. I Cannot wait to see my fave Gossip Girl when the season starts up again in September.

Our favourite Gossip Girl and Liipstik approved alumni, Blake Lively, graces the cover of Vogue June 2010 issue.

In the magazine the blond beauty also has a California, beach-inspired spread.

From the cover to her spread, the 23-year-old is a stunning natural beauty. Blake looks so effortlessly beautiful. She literally looks like she isn't wearing a speck of makeup and her skin is flawless and sun kissed. She's the perfect California girl, looking like she came straight from the O.C!

Blake shows off her beach babe physique with her fit body in the entire spread. Whether she's in a bikini, wet suit, a tight body-con dress, you'll always see a surf board in the background. I love her whole surfer chick look she has going on in the spread.

I love this spread, it's fun, natural and full of youth. And most of all she's surrounded by HOT, SURFER boys for the majority of the pictures!!
