R&B singer Monica and L.A Laker Shannon Brown tied the knot last year, loves them together! Its Valentines Day yayyyy!! Lol I love all holidays and major events so of course I'm excited about today. I decided since I'm in such a good mood I would do a post showcasing our fave Liipstik approved couples in young Hollywood! Love is a beautiful thing and once you find that really cherish it, true love comes once maybe twice in a lifetime so if you've experienced it you should feel really blessed because there are going to be people who never experience that feeling. I rather have a lost love than to never have experienced the joy and the emotions that come with wanting to spend time and share yourself with a person who truly makes you happy. I'm a hopeless romantic what can I say *sigh*. I hope everyone has an amazing day whether you are single or boo'ed up, you don't have to be in a relationship to show you really care about your loved ones. Valentine Fab -- Prince's "Adore"

In the spirit of Valentines I've posted this classic throwback, dedicated to the lovers! Prince is such an amazing artist and definately a character to say the least from his feminin fashion sense and amazing coifs he has won the hearts of many, young and old. "Adore" is one of my FAVOURITE Prince tracks, perfect song to get down too if you know what I mean *wink wink*. I would love a boy to sing this too me but I know that any cover of this song will fall short to the original so for now I'll just let Prince's sultry voice take me away....



*side note* Since we are talking about the lovely Prince check this vid of him kicking Kimmy K off the stage at his most recent concert cuz she wouldn't boogie. Cant blame him though, when Prince says dance, you DANCE!! She does look fab in that Alexander McQueen dress though!

Wale "The Break Up Song"

Many would assume that In the spirit of Valentines day I was being a "Negative Nancy" by posting a song about break-ups especially when L-O-V-E is in full circulation. I was inspired to post this video because I've noticed a dramatic increase in the emergence of couples, intense pda, and canoodling. So I asked myself, "Is this something that these couples do everyday and I failed to notice, or are they being influenced by the month of love?". I came across this video by DC rapper Wale and I fell in love, the video took influences from the Indie movie "500 days of Summer", (which I love) and even had Morgan Freeman narrating in the beginning which is DOPE!

"The Break-up Song" video basically holds a mirror up to a relationship and shows the contrast between what a relationship should be like and the actual reality of what the relationship is. I think its perfect because a lot of single folk get depressed around this time thinking everyone is in love when a good portion of them are putting up a front and are actually unhappy. Valentines day or not this happens all the time, its called keeping up appearances. I'm not trying to rain on anyones parade and not saying break-up if your relationship is less than perfect, I want EVERYONE to be happy whether they're single or taken! Just realize sometimes the grass isn't as green on the other side as it seems. Take the song in and enjoy!
