My Black is Beautiful

Vogue Brazil's "Black is Beautiful" January 2011 issue has probably hit stands in Brazil and will showcase the top black models in the industry. It was about time that Brazil decided to do their version of the all black Vogue issue after Italian Vogue set the news stands and the internet into a frenzy after they released their version. Brazil has the largest population of black people after Africa therefore its only right to showcase that beauty.

Brazillian models are my all time favourites there is something about them that is completely stunning ie. Liipstik fave Arlenis Sosa! Natural beauty Emanuele De Paula is looking gorgeous on the cover as well. Can't wait to see if I can get my paws on this magazine since it should be out in Canada in a week or so! Vogue Loving For Poly

Worldwide fashion publication Vogue must really love supermodel Natasha Poly because she was the only model in the world most frequently used in the magazine for 2010. Poly graced the cover of the December issue of French Vogue, the October issue of Russian Vogue and the September issue of Japanese Vogue. Not to mention she has had several spreads inside the publication.

Other fashion elite getting international love from Vogue was design team Dolce & Gabbana who were the most used designer and the most used photographers were Inez and Vinoodh.

I'm really not surprised Poly was the most used model, she has a very versatile look and can transform from commercial girl next door to high fashion edgy bombshell without a problem. Congrats!

Tom Ford's Spring 2011 Collection revealed!!

Lookie what we've found! Seems like Tom Fords collection is not so "hush hush" after these images have surfaced from Vogues December issue featuring pieces from his "top secret" spring 2011. In Sept when Ford launched his collection he went to great lengths to make sure the collection stayed hidden until it was available for purchase in Jan 2011. Photography was prohibited with the exception of Terry Richardson and only 100 fashion vip's were invited to the show. When things are kept this secret curiosity builds and expectations are created. In my opinion I love the collect fave piece is definately that crystal rock necklace in the second image, absolutely stunning!! What do you guys think, was the collection worth the wait?

News -- Has this Balmain Dress Broken a Record?

Which dress is taking the magazine world by storm and stirring up a little contoversy as well? Its none other than the sparkly gold Balmain number that was featured in the F/W 2010 collection. Seems like Anja Rubik must have really worked that dress on the runway because editors from 7 Magazines pegged the dress to be on their cover. The dress costs $31,000 for the shorter version and $34,000 for the longer version according to the Daily Mail. I guess the good thing about the dress is thaqt it doesn't look the same in every picture, you have to kind of examine it to realize that the dresses are the same. Video fab -- Fashions Night Out 2010!

So finally I got my hands on some Fashion Night out footage for those of you who has missed it. Check the video for Fashion Night out hosted by Andre Leon Talley and Hanneli Mustaparta, the commentary was tres annoying but I enjoyed the other aspects of the webcast. By the way can we talk about Ms. Gisele, she annihilated that runway, Naomi we see you, WORK! Her walk is too amazing for words, get it girl!!!

*btw Loves Pharrell`s performance, would have loved to see Nelly Furtado since she is singing the chorus on the track, nonetheless Skateboard P is such a cutie working that military inspired jacket

Vogue Italia -- Hat- Attack

I just had a massive Hat-Attack looking at these pictures, loves the colors and the different make-up looks. Her fiery red hair makes the elaborate makeup stand out against her pale skin. This was a very creative make-up editorial for Vogue Italia, I love the different headpieces, the model, Anne Vyalitsyna makes being a cone-head look fashionable! The thing I admire the most about this editorial is the way Anne was able to deliver such strong photos without using her hands.

When I first saw this editorial my eye was directed straight to the dresses adorned with lips, how cute!! The styling is done really well and creatively, I love that the stylist dressed the girls alike but at the same time still gave each girl their own personality through the clothes. Alessandra Ambrosio -- Vogue Russia 2010

So I stumbled across this beautiful spread in Vogue Russia and I said to myself "that model looks a lot like Alessandra Ambrosio" and to my surprise it was her. I love this spread because you see another side to this Victoria Secret beauty. The styling and makeup is so minimalistic in comparison to her regular commercial look. I'm so used to seeing her in barely there lingerie gracing the runways with her long toned gams. For Alessandra to do this shoot it definately shows she is versatile and is more then just a pretty face. I just think the pictures are soo stunning and she really does translate into a high fashion model!

Last week we posted pics of Ms. Naomi Campbell doing her thing in Vogue Russia, now we have even more pics of that spread! Naomi is over 40 and schoolin' these young girls on their modeling game!

She is the epitome of longevity, she looks just as good and sometimes better then the younger models. With age comes experience and Miss Campbell is definitely using that to her advantage in this spread. Loving the cheetah inspired photo-shoot, she looks absolutely stunning . This is your "Chromo Zone"

Hey guys here's the editiorial for the S/S issue of Vogue Homme International. I absolutely love this spread because of the bright colours! This shoot just pops right off the pages and gives your eyes a lot of visual stimulation, it looks like a bag of tropical skittles lol. Yum!

I've said this before and I'll say it again I love colours, and here these fellas are rocking lots of vibrant colours and working it effortlessly. Editorials are of course over the top so it definitely would not be the most ideal to wear the same colour from head to toe but do add splashes of colour to liven up any boring fit. To work these spring trends do break up bold colour combo's with plain neutrals of white, gray, and beige. More pics from the spread below!

Fashion News -- Naomi Campbell

For being a model in the industry for more than 15 years, Naomi Campbell is still at the top of her game and the fashion world. This 40-year-old is no virgin to the modelling scene, but next month her Vogue cherry will be popped. Get your mind out of the gutter guys! In next month’s issue of Russian Vogue, Naomi will be guest editor for the publication. Along with creative control over the issue, the supermodel graces the cover and also has an editorial spread in the mag.

The issue is already out on newsstands, let’s just hope you can read Russian. But for those who can’t, read more and check out some of the spread from the magazine.
